Seemless Integration

CUPERTINO, California—November 14, 2006—Apple® today announced it is teaming up with Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United to deliver the first seamless integration between iPod® and in-flight entertainment systems. These six airlines will begin offering their passengers iPod seat connections which power and charge their iPods during flight and allow the video content on their iPods to be viewed on the their seat back displays - Apple

Above are some big names in the airline business, now that you can be sitting at your laptop access the apple store download a movie, pop it on to you ipod and bang your set to watch it on screen aboard the plane. Or just take your laptop and watch your illegal movie off bittorrent for free (if you do that sort of thing).

I wonder how they are going to take into account the varieties of ipods in terms of sizes. It can’t be like the ipod dock because the clip in adjustable sizes would be stolen. It would make sense just to have a universal lead coming out of your chair. Then don’t you exclude the ipod shuffle ver 1
We will have to wait and see.
