The Telegraph website has an interesting article saying insurgents are using Google Earth to pinpoint vulnerable targets within bases in Iraq.
Which at first glance sounds like a valid point until you read the full article;
“We believe they use Google Earth to identify the most vulnerable areas such as tents.”
For goodness sake man, its a Tent simply undo the pegs and move the camp a few hundred yards up the road if its possible. If your that worried about your cover been blown move camp or simply let the Americans get on with it.
The Americans are familiar in making weapsons and handing them over to the enemy so why should now be any different?.
Read the 2nd last paragraph an English soldier threatens to sue Google if he is hit by a bomb, what a remark. ‘Ill sue if I’m hit by a bomb’, yeah mate if you survive and you can prove its Google’s fault because they gave your location away.
The second quote I’m liking;
“There have also been reports that the images are being sold to rogue militias in the market place in Basra”.
Better still pop into a local internet cafe and get them for free (well a few Iraqi Dinar), there much civilised over there you know than we think. I knew somebody that knows somebody in the army based in Iraq and the last time she had spoke to him he had just finished eating his Subway. No LIE
