Using Google Services

While my parents are away I have been giving the sole task to complete one job, take the car for it’s M.O.T. Now I don’t how many of my readers out there have taken a car for an M.O.T because its a very manly affair. It consists of you calling other men ‘mate’ and just generally trying not to sound soft in your communication with ‘garage men’.

On contacting my normal garage this morning to book an early slot I got left with the rep ly “Well I’d like to mate but were backed up to the end of the week like”, which I presumably took for being fully booked or something along those lines. I was glad because I hate our normal garage, they are corrupt beyond your wildness judgments. An example being if you want a receipt then we will have to charge you more money (?).  On getting a quote for a job you get two prices 1 with a receipt and the other without, just by chance the prices always seem to be round numbers. The reason in which we stick with these fellas is that if there is something wrong they do fix it (cheaply) and don’t mess with your safety. That’s their good points the bad point being customer service, which is incomprehensible.

Anyway I needed a new garage to take the car before the MOT runs out, instead of using the old fashioned Yellow Pages I turned to Google. I entered my post code followed by ‘MOT’, it then displayed the following results;

I picked the closest and gave them a ring, they were very helpful on the phone and had a cancellation for 2pm. It’s now 2.47 now and I need to pick her up at 3 so I’ll see how the rest of my MOT experience goes.

So far 10/10 for Google
