One of the great features of Facebook was privacy. You could be assured that what was in Facebook remained in Facebook. However, that illusion might be ending soon with the introduction of public search.
Why Facebook why, this new feature isn’t for users own good but an attempt to increase your own virtuous cycle, in attracting more people to the Facebook network and substantially increasing its page views on the way.
Somehow I feel it has no benefit for the the casual user.
