I see there’s a little buzz this morning between blogger’s about the new Google Mail feature IMAP. Over on Techcrunch and Lifehacker those guys are currently reporting about this new feature, but seem not to have this feature available yet on their account. Although they could have mine, I’m a web guy, I like everything available online.
For those who want a well synchronized online/offline experience, then I suppose it’s useful, but doesn’t Google want you to see their advertising ? What advertising do you see when your mail is delivered to your desktop client?
I also wonder if Google is doing this randomly or on Gmail sign-up date?
Update :
I now seem to have 4.3GB available on my Gmail is this normal ?
I always thought it was two gigs?
Update 2
From the Google Mail website;
It comes with built-in Google search technology and over 2,600 megabytes of storage (and growing every day).
Guess they just nearly doubled mine then !
