Dubbed Battle at Kruger, the video shows a pride of hungry lions attacking a herd of buffalo near a watering hole. They catch a small calf and wrestle it into the water. But things take a twist when a crocodile tries to snatch the calf for itself. A brief tug of war ensues, before the lions drag the calf away.

But the situation becomes even more incredible when the buffalo return to take on the lions. Charging the predators, they successfully chase the cats away - even goring one and tossing it into the air - before the calf manages to get up and return to its family.

Here is something I have stolen from Digg but I think its important, I get quite a few emails from different people and I bet you do too. Some of them have too much information, other don’t have enough, others would look at home on a 13 year olds myspace page.

Anway the following 7 bullet points should help with creating your own suitable email signature.

Keep it short. Seven lines is good. (I would even argue this is too much)

Keep it simple. Leave the images for your website. I’ve also found that images and other “nifty” things make your e-mail more likely to get tagged as spam and lost.

Spell out websites. Don’t count on the HTML signature to work all the time. Instead of making a hyperlink like “My website” use http://www.kylemayne.com/. This also lets people copy and paste into a browser or contact card.

Only include the information you want to share. It seems silly, but if you don’t want business calls at home, don’t give out your home phone number. If you keep one IM account just for friends, don’t put it into your sig file.

Forget the little quotes. Yeah I had this at one time too. I even had a random quote generator for a while While you might think your quote is pithy or wise or funny, it might offend someone or just be confusing.

Don’t attach your contact card by default. Another potential spam flag and once you’re in my contacts, I don’t need it again and again.

Again be simple use Times or Arial

I would also recommend you skip sites like these www.coolsig.com/

Thanks too http://www.pimpyourwork.com/ for the 7 pointers.

The main artillery in a cyberstalkers box of tricks is a little thing known as the Search Engine. Google and the other giants of search tend to do a little thing known as indexing and caching, now I’m not going to be condescending and inform you of how Google and the Google bots work but its vital to understand that your actions are constantly being stored. Search engines do a very good job of removing the tangles of the web, to leave stepping stones between each site on information about YOU. Information including name, email address, phone number, or where you work etc. Now having this information freely available isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the importance should be emphasized on you knowing that this information is available and you are the person who would be constantly adding to it.

A good example is Hot or Not and Google maps somebody had created a small web application that allows you to search by post code (or close to it) to find people registered on Hot or Not then displays their profile together with photo’s etc. Now this sort of thing could be created from any site you supply a post code too, which I find a little scary because then it becomes very personal which could be a big danger to society members like women. Although things like this I see as an extension to the phonebook, its getting the balance just right. Nobody has full control over the web, so be careful.

Furthermore I fear for the youth culture of today, in the future when applying for jobs a big long trail will be left of your Friday night shanigans or a comment on a site that may not be appropriate. All an employer would have to do is perform a ’search’ and the results would be displayed. I wouldn’t be surprised in the none to distant future to find organisations in which other org’s employ to ’dig up dirt’ about prospectus employees. The Internet gives you the interactive user freeness, in which views and actions can be expressed. Now I am not judging these actions but what is imperative to this argument is that these views you reflect are in line with any future job roles you take, unlike some young lib dem eh. A good article about this can be read here

Although if you have a name like Michael Smith you can fuck about all you want, there is just too many of the little critters !!.

And with wars come millions of records that can shed light on family history, detailing everything from the color of soldiers’ eyes to what their neighbors may have said about them.

Today, Ancestry.com unveils more than 90 million U.S. war records from the first English settlement at Jamestown in 1607 through the Vietnam War’s end in 1975. The site also has the names of 3.5 million U.S. soldiers killed in action, including 2,000 who died in Iraq.
