This is my chosen fast: to loosen all the bonds that bind men unfairly, to let the oppressed go free, to break every yoke. Share your bread with the hungry, take the homeless into your home. Clothe the naked when you see him, do not turn away from people in need. . . . If you remove from your midst the yoke of oppression, the finger of scorn and the tongue of malice, if you put yourself out for the hungry and relieve the wretched, then shall your light shine in darkness, and your gloom shall be as noonday. . . . And you shall be like a watered garden, like a never-failing spring. And you shall rebuild ancient ruins, restoring old foundations. You shall be known as the rebuilder of broken walls, the restorer of dwelling places.

I’ve never been one on following page views for my site, the main reason is that I don’t say anything of importance to be popular.

It wasn’t until this morning I noticed something, nothing too spectacular just my page view document for this month.

Download this PDF file

Look at the document, see if you can find the date (then the post at kylemayne.com) what caused the surge in views.

The site is used as my own personal outlet, I like it the way it is. To be popular I think you need to be the best at something or cater to a particular niche market with nothing really much in between being successful. Also there is the time factor, to be popular to need to be up on posting with at least 3 - 7 posts a day to keep your readers interested.

Maybe I’m Wrong, although I do find it interesting in thinking what makes a particular website popular.
